9:30 am Church School
Currently, we have one adult class– the Seekers– who meet in an informal setting to discuss lectionary passages of the given week. The group always has a lively discussion that often includes current events. This small group prides itself on being open to a diverse collection of opinions where everyone mutually respects one another’s viewpoints
10:45 am Worship Service
We gather together in the sanctuary for a collective gathering of singing hymns, prayers, and a sermon. We celebrate communion every Sunday. At the Federated Church, we have an open table– no matter your church background, all our welcome to receive the Lord’s Supper.
10:45 am Children’s Church
Children birth-K are welcomed in the nursery as the service begins. Loving, trained and screened childcare workers will greet your child and care for him/ her throughout the service.
Children K-5 are invited to join their parents in the sanctuary for the first part of the service. The pastor leads a time with children upfront where the group discusses a topic pertaining to the scripture lessons of the day. Immediately following the children’s message, the kids are dismissed to children’s church. Led by the Children’s Ministry Coordinator and volunteers from the church, the kids will enjoy a snack, a craft and games that help them apply the scripture to their lives.
Fellowship time after church
We don’t rush home after the worship service is complete. Members and visitors alike gather in the lobby for snacks and conversation. It’s a great time for us to get to know each other and guests better! Members take turns bringing the snacks each week.
7:00 pm Choir practice
Our choir is always open to new members. We sing frequently in the worship services on Sunday mornings. We also share special music programs with the church during liturgical seasons such as Christmas and Easter.
Men at the Mark
On the first Tuesday of each month, our men gather at The Mark– a local restaurant in town for conversation and inspiration. If you are interested in learning more about this group, contact Ralph Magill.
CWF: Christian Women’s Fellowship
Each month, the ladies of the church gather for a devotional program, mission project or other fun activity. If you would like to know more about the CWF, call the church office for it’s upcoming meeting time and place.
